Dr Nikolay Tomov
Dr Nik Tomov GP with extended role in MSK and rehabilitation medicine.
I am an enthusiastic multilingual GP and associated rehabilitation and MSK specialist with 20+ years’ diversified experience in primary and secondary health services, and extensive knowledge of MSK, rehabilitation medicine and post stroke recovery. I have a very passionate belief in the importance of an evidence-based best practice, comprehensive clinically focused and patient-centred environment adhering to disease management protocols, and practice policies, standards and guidance.
I graduated from the Medical University of Sofia, Bulgaria in 1999 and then worked in Bulgaria for ten years before moving to the UK in 2010. I completed my GP training on the Isle of wight and have lived in Ryde with my family since 2016. I am a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners, an associate member of the Royal College of Physicians as well as a Member of the British Society of Rehabilitation Medicine.
Outside work I enjoy with my wife and daughter the great outdoors which the Island has to offer. I am also a keen explorer and enjoy riding my motorcycle and traveling I am very happy that I have joined he The Clock House Clinic and the opportunity to provide health services to the local community, helping people be as healthy as they can be.

I took my dad in to be seen by Dr Milen Boykov. After my dad had his check up, Dr Boykov advised he had abscess and needs to go for an operation asap. I took my dad to the local hospital for an operation, the local hospital discharged him without an operation which they shouldent have and said it will get better naturally. I sent the discharge letters to Dr Boykov, he immediately called me back and kindly also sent me an email saying he should of not been discharged and included a note in the email for the hospital staff to see and to get my dad back into surgery. Thanks to Dr Boykov’s assistance and advice my dad managed to get his operation done successfully and is now recovering. The Local hospital even apologised to me saying they should of not discharge him before an operation!
